I work with individuals who are experiencing distress in their lives and looking for relief. I will help individuals tell their story, open their minds and find hope for positive change. At times sessions are more spontaneous, and at other times are more structured around an activity such as developing goals, identifying thoughts and feelings, and reviewing relevant articles or books that might be helpful resources.

CHILD AND FAMILY THERAPY
Conflict in the home / School Problems / Divorce
I work with parents and children who may be experiencing increased distress or conflict in the home. I specialize in adolescence, a time that is difficult and full of many changes in a person's life and in relationships with family and others. Many families feel stuck and concerned about behaviors they see in their children. I conduct a thorough evaluation, identify goals, and help create plans that will promote healthy communication and opportunities for growth.

CONSULTATION
Supervision for LMHC candidates / Legal Issues, Autism & Asperger's Support / Trainer and Supervisor of Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
I am a certified supervisor for counselors seeking licensure as an LMHC. I have been licensed for 9 years and have the experience of many clinical settings which have provided a rich knowledge base for counseling techniques and strategies. I would be happy to explore individuals' need for supervision. I have personal and professional experience in the area of Autism and Asperger's issues and consult about these regularly. I am also a trainer for Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and can both present on this excellent therapeutic tool as well as supervise clinicians learning this technique.
